Before the visit

Bring a short note about your health.

Make a note of your main concern, current medicines and past care. Include any questions about pregnancy or other health changes.

Ask how the health professional will check your health. Will there be a conversation? Might an examination or test need a separate visit?

Under Arizona rules in effect October 3, 2026, the health professional must decide whether remote care can meet your needs.

Get the follow-up plan in plain words.

Who answers questions after the visit? How do you reach them? What happens if the first plan does not fit?

The follow-up advice checked September 26, 2026, is to give patients a way to ask their health professional questions after care; the Federation of State Medical Boards offers this guidance.

That group brings together the state boards that oversee doctors; its advice alone does not create a legal duty to offer this help.

Ask the practice what help it offers and which state rules apply to your care.

A dated medicine-price example

An advertised low price may go up later.

Self-pay means paying outside insurance.

As of September 26, 2026, a government offer page listed semaglutide (Ozempic) at $199 per month for a new self-pay patient’s first two monthly medicine supplies.

The offer applies to certain strengths, meaning the amount of medicine in each dose, and runs through December 31, 2026.

This offer is limited to new self-pay patients who live in the United States and are 18 or older.

People with insurance who use this offer cannot seek repayment from their insurer or put the cost toward what they must pay before insurance begins paying.

For later monthly medicine supplies, the terms checked on that date give a price of $349 or $499 based on how much medicine each dose contains.

The $199 price is charged for each of those first monthly medicine supplies.

Ask whether your prescription qualifies and what each month will cost.

This example is a drug price, not a quote for a care visit in Litchfield Park. Ask for the amount that applies to your plan.

If you use Medicare

As of September 26, 2026, Medicare can cover certain medicines for uses other than weight loss.

That still depends on the plan’s covered medicine list and its approval process.

If the plan says “prior authorization”, that means it needs to agree to pay first. Ask who sends the request and what happens if it is refused.
